WHAT IS STOCK FINANCE?

Stock finance is a way of raising additional finance against the stock owned by your business.

The lender will calculate a % of the net value of your stock that can be financed. This varies from business to business depending on numerous things such as; amount of finished goods/WIP/raw material, how sellable the goods are, number of staff and where the goods are stored.

HOW DO STOCK FINANCE WORK?

The lender will require a third party stock valuation to be carried out. Once the stock finance facility is agreed, you provide the lender with your monthly or weekly stock listing. The lender provides you with updated funding based upon the stock movement.

A stock finance is often (but not always) provided in conjunction with an invoice finance facility so that once the stock is delivered and invoiced, the invoice finance repays the stock finance

TESTIMONIALS

Being a growing business that exports all around the world, it is extremely important that we have a funder that is flexible with the countries that we deal with. We had used our bank for Invoice Finance but when Sedulo called us, our funding was being restricted to a customer in Malaysia. Leyton reviewed the business and our existing facility and recommended a funder that could provide us the funding for that customer that we needed. We can now grow the business with the knowledge that the working capital needs of the business can be met.
